week thirty 2025

CSSD passport at afd

Last week was an odd one. I felt like I had to redo, rework, revisit so many projects that I thought were complete. Needless to say, it was quite frustrating but I got through it. I did spend a good amount of time searching Faire for new vendors during the Faire Summer Market. I also placed many reorders. I wanted to take advantage of the show specials, especially with vendors I know sell well for us. I'm happy to report several will arrive in time for Stationery Store Day!

faire market orders

The rest of the week was entering and pulling all the orders we got during the Faire Summer Market. It was a busy week and my to print list went from 3 cards to over 20 style of cards. This week is all Stationery Store Day, all the time! Don't forget to come see us Saturday, August 2nd 10am to 5pm.

Random, randomness...
• I listened to The Women by Kistin Hannah. I have mixed feelings about the book. I enjoyed the story, it was interesting and often intense. I could've lived without the graphic wartime operating room details but I really loved the friendships of the three women. It warmed my heart, filled me with hope and reminded me of my girlfriends. On the other hand, I found the the main character frustrating at times. Unlike other wartime, historical fiction I was interested from cover to cover so there's that.
• I also listened to Yellowface by R.F. Kuang. I actually loved it. Talk about frustrating main characters! This book is riveting and horrific and wow. I'm a little speechless at the audacity of the main character. It was a little predicable but I still enjoyed it. If you like thrillers and can handle cringey white women, give it a read.

That's it for week thirty! See you Saturday.
